At Stone Creek Vet, we use only the safest and most up-to-date products and techniques during surgery. In fact, the anesthesia we use is the same safe gas that is often used in human medicine. Trained veterinary technicians assist our veterinarian throughout your pet’s procedure. Technicians closely monitor temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm, respirations and oxygen levels with the newest monitoring technologies. They will stay with your pet until fully recovered. Administration of intravenous fluids helps the patient to recover quicker from anesthesia. Our doctor and the technicians use disposable, sterile gloves and are masked to prevent the spread of disease and infection. We have a private surgery suite with separate ventilation for our surgical procedures in order to minimize the chance of infection during surgery. Your pet’s safety always comes first at Stone Creek.

Stone Creek Veterinary Hospital comes equipped with a full in-house laboratory. This is useful for pre-surgical blood evaluation, or when a quick diagnosis is needed. We also have a full pharmacy which enables your pet to get any medication they need, when they need it.

Using the human dental field as our model, we have developed a dental evaluation and cleaning procedure that is thorough and effective. We believe that this begins with a full-mouth set of x-rays to evaluate the health of teeth below the gum line. So much of dental disease, such as periodontal disease, tooth root abscesses, and jaw fractures occur below the gum line, making dental x-rays a necessity to ensure your pet is getting the most out of the procedure. After teeth are evaluated for periodontal pockets and abnormalities, the final steps in the process involve prophylactic scaling & polishing, as well as fluoride treatment. As with all of our surgeries, we use the safest form of anesthesia, support the patient with IV fluids, and use state-of-the art monitoring equipment throughout the procedure. In addition, a trained technician will always stay with your pet from the time they are anesthetized until they are fully awake.

In addition to customer service and quality medicine, we strive to provide our clients with the most convenience. With this in mind, we stock a variety of premium and prescription foods that are much closer to home than the large chain stores. Our full line of prescription and non-prescription pet foods include: Purina, Royal Canin and Blue Buffalo. If you don’t see you pet’s food, we can order that special food and keep it on hand for the next time you run out. We also have a full line of flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
